Ghosting Success Story

The Joy Of Unexpected Suprises đź‘»

Did you miss me?

(Maybe not, since 99.97% of everyone seeing this is a first time reader)

Let me spill the tea: I had been posting three times a week for months, then I decided to stop. Cold turkey. I gave a little warning, and set a return date two months out (for the beginning of the year), but if I’m being honest, I wasn’t sure if I was even gonna resurrect this little passion project of mine…

Sometimes, when you’re not seeing the results you want, or you’re not thrilled about the future prospects it’s easier just to end things. As hard as it is to admit it, that’s where I was: Lots of time and energy invested; things taking way longer than expected to “pan out”; it just wasn’t that exciting anymore.

Sound familiar?

Ever had an experience like that in your life?

I was really thinking about pulling the plug, shutting things down and calling it quits forever. Letting it die a slow whimpering death. List the domain for sale and cash out. I wanted to just skulk in the shadows and disappear.

The shame of what was starting to feel like another failed project was too real.

But just when you think it’s over, something crazy happens!

I was absolutely flabbergasted

The thing about ghosting is that it’s usually an abrupt end without explanation. (At least in the dating world)

To me, the guilt would be overwhelming.

You know the person deserves you an explanation, but conflict isn’t your thing, so you just disappear and hope to never see each other again. Scurry off with tail between my legs, sad and pathetic.

It’s not a good look.

But sometimes, taking a step back and getting some perspective is exactly what you need to make things stronger than ever…

At the risk of being a total cliché, if it’s meant to be, it’ll come back.

So here we are, after a short little hiatus:
